If you are craving and looking to support your favourite joints, many are still open for takeout and delivery orders. Look at 'Contactless Delivery' options, and you may want to consider a tip for the delivery person!

 

GETTING GROCERIES DELIVERED

You can get groceries delivered to your door from local and online grocery stores. Vancouver is Awesome, Vancouver Sun, and Narcity have more information on accessing those services.

SUPPORT SMALL NEIGHBOURHOOD BUSINESSES

Heritage Vancouver has created an interactive map and list of neighbourhood businesses that are still open during the COVID-19 pandemic, with information on how these businesses are operating and how you can support them.

GETTING SUPPORT AND STAYING NOURISHED

COVID-19 has affected the financial situation of many of us. No one should have to choose between housing and sustenance. The information below will guide you through various options.

FIND A FOOD BANK IN YOUR AREA

The following link has listings of over 100 food banks across BC. Search their directory to get support now.

MUSLIM FOOD BANK + COMMUNITY SERVICES

The food bank program serves individuals with special dietary needs, including halal, kosher, vegetarian, and vegan. Support is also provided to refugees and persons with disabilities.

 

MEALS ON WHEELS

If you live in Vancouver or Richmond, Meals on Wheels is a program run by the Health and Home Care Society of BC. Western and Chinese meal options are available with language support in Chinese.

EMERGENCY FOOD SERVICES + SUPERVISED CONSUMPTION SITES

The following Google Maps viewer contains listings for emergency food, supervised consumption, and handwashing stations in areas including Vancouver's DTES.

CITYREACH CARE SOCIETY

Food for Families provides food hampers in East Vancouver and Port Coquitlam for families in need.

AMS FOOD BANK

The AMS Food Bank, operated by the UBC Alma Mater Society, provides food and supplies to members of the UBC community in need.

RESTAURANTS IN VANCOUVER OFFERING FREE OR DISCOUNTED MEALS

If you or someone you know is in need of free or discounted meal support.

SAF INTERNATIONAL

SAF International delivers free meals to those eligible in Surrey, Delta, Ladner, Langley, New Westminster, and Tsawwassen.

CLEANING + DISINFECTANT SUPPLIES

The following link to the Government of Canada's cleaning and disinfecting guide should provide you with the information necessary to get supplies and stay healthy.
